Do you work with individuals or groups?

I work one-on-one with individuals, with small teams, large teams, small businesses, and large businesses. Because each individual or team is different and has different needs, I build a custom plan for each client. No group is too small and I've never had to turn a group down for being too big.

Are there age limits?

Yes and no. I have worked with children as young as 8 years old and adults as old as 85 years old. For younger clients, the parents need to be heavily involved in order to constantly customize and reinforce the skills being taught. Generally my clients range between the ages of 12 and 70.

Do you meet in person or virtually?

I try to suit the needs of my clients. In person meetings are preferred but not always possible. If you do not live in the Katy, Texas area, virtual meetings through Zoom are a great alternative.

Where do you meet?

Many clients like to meet where they perform however, some prefer a neutral location. This may be on a basketball court, on a track, in the office, at the library, at the YMCA or other gym, at the park, in a coffee shop, or different community centers. I try to be as flexible as possible within reason to make sure we meet somewhere that is peaceful, safe, and provides a good atmosphere to learn and practice the performance skills. In some cases, we can meet in your home.

Is there a set curriculum?

No! Each client is different and has different needs. As such, I create a custom curriculum for each client.

How long does the process take?

This depends on many different factors and I can not give a definite timeline. I teach skills that enhance mental performance. It is up to you to deliberately practice these skills and use them. Some clients see huge improvements immediately. Others take a little bit longer to warm up to the process and employ the knowledge they have learned. However, if you diligently learn and practice the skills, you will see improvements in your performance.

I firmly believe that I should work myself out of a job. This means that I work to make sure my clients get to the point where they do not need me anymore. Some clients meet with me four times and some meet with me for a lot longer. It all depends on you, your needs, and how much time you are able to put towards improving your performance. I generally suggest an initial commitment of 6 meetings but I do not have a required time commitment at this time.

How long does each meeting last?

Most meetings last about an hour. I charge by the meeting, not by the hour. This means that the cost remains the same for a 30 minute meeting and an two hour meeting. However, I reserve the right to say when the meeting is over. I try to use the time as efficiently as possible and make sure that my client is not overloaded with new material. Additionally, I make sure that your time is well spent which means I will not end a meeting before we have covered enough material. However, in my experience, one hour is the sweet spot for a meeting.

How much does performance coaching cost?

Every client is different. Every budget is different. I try my best to create a package that will work for you, your time, and your budget. Pricing differs depending on the level of the performer (beginner through professional), size of the group (individual through large group), time commitment (individual speaking engagement through weekly meetings), and other variables like travel and entry cost. Please email, text, or call me so that we can discuss your needs and the cost of performance training.

Is Ashley a Psychologist?

No. I am not a psychologist. I am not a counselor. I am not a therapist. My education and experience is in sport and performance psychology, but I do not hold a license to practice psychology. When you work with me, you are not going to a therapist, you are going to a coach who teaches you skills that build upon healthy practices in which you already engage. You do not receive treatment for anything when you work with me.
